It is not our job to judge, condemn or
directly criticise anybody: rather, we at The
StraightWay Foundation simply
wish to help our brothers and sisters to achieve their goal of
Paradise, and we pray that Allah accepts these efforts.
It is a fundamental part of Islam to
offer advice in a wise manner. A hadeeth in Saheeh Muslim
records that our beloved Prophet Muhammad (on whom be peace) said: "The
deen (religion) is good advice." We hope that
anything we say on this site will be taken by our brothers and
sisters in this manner, and not misinterpreted as hateful or
intolerant.
While stating firmly that homosexual
acts are not permitted in Islam, The
StraightWay Foundation recognises that many people feel
an attraction to members of the same sex - and furthermore feel they
have no choice in the matter. We
do not condemn people for their feelings. Rather, we wish to
provide practical tips and suggestions for how to live your
life earning Allah's pleasure, avoiding His anger, while dealing
with these feelings in the best way. |
